Predappio

Predappio is a hillside town of Roman origins, located in the valley of the Rabbi river, about 30 km from the Casentino Forests Park, Monte Falterona and Campigna. The town is surrounded by vineyards of high importance, from which the prized Sangiovese DOC wine is obtained.

Built between the 1920s and 1940s, it is an original example of the rationalist architectural and urban planning style. Among the most significant buildings, it is worth visiting the “Ex Casa del Fascio e dell’Ospitalità”, designed by architect Arnaldo Fuzzi, and Palazzo Varano, the current municipal headquarters.
