There are numerous routes within the park that offer hiking possibilities suitable for everyone and every season. Panoramic ridges, thousand-year-old forests, ancient mule tracks and accommodation facilities that are increasingly in tune with the protected area accompany the mountain bike routes, nature trails and highly accessible routes. Following the enchanting paths, it is possible to reach villages and places of interest: among these are the Acquacheta Waterfalls, the Ridracoli Dam, Pietrapazza, Camaldoli and the Sacred Hermitage. Walking is certainly the best way to discover all the beauties of the protected area: with its network of more than 600 km of trails, the Casentino Forests National Park offers a wide choice of routes varying in length, degree of difficulty and natural environments crossed.
