Bertinoro

The medieval village of Bertinoro is located 15 km from Forlì, on top of Mount Cesubeo. Thanks to its position, it is nicknamed the Balcony of Romagna: from every point of the village it is possible to admire a suggestive landscape that extends as far as the sea.

Bertinoro is renowned throughout Romagna for the excellence of its typical products, first and foremost its wine (Sangiovese, Albana, Pagadebit, Cagnina), and for its hospitality, symbolised by the Column in the main square, also known as the Column of the Rings, and built during the 13th century to settle disputes between the noble families of the time. Throughout the year, the village is enlivened by various cultural and convivial events, the best known of which is undoubtedly the Festa dell’OspitalitĂ  (Hospitality Festival), which has been held in September for over 90 years.
